Which DTM Extra-curricular Field Trip was your favorite and what are your take-aways from the trip?
There was a wide variety of DTM Extra-curricular Field Trips and all of them were interesting. However, to pick one, I would say the Seoul FC Stadium tour was my favorite. On that trip, we got to know the history of the stadium and how it was built as well as how the stadium got ready for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Additionally, we also got to enjoy the football match to get the whole experience. During the tour, I could observe how the facility was used for the sponsorship visibility and branding. I have also seen how the advertisements were placed during the match. Therefore, after gathering this information I could share the knowledge that I gained and will try to implement when I go back to Bangladesh.
How’s the sport industry different from your country?
Bangladesh has a massive population of 166 million given the land size. There is a huge following for Cricket and Football, however, when it comes to the sport industry, it is still in its infancy. This sector has a good potential for growth in my country. But we need support, hence DTM program is an excellent opportunity to help my country to reach its potential. In Korea, so far what I have observed regarding the sport industry is that it is more commercialized and professional, which meets the global industry standard
